- The XR18 won’t work without a connected device running the X-Air control app, which is available as a free download for Windows, OS X, iPad and Android devices (although if it becomes disconnected during a show, it will continue to operate in the current state so no audio will be lost).
- Re: XR18 and Windows 10? One way or another, I have the driver installed. The problem is still there. Windows does not always recognise the XR18 as a XR18. Cannot remember the message in device manager. At this moment it is ok. When it is not, switching te XR18 off and on again solvee the problem.
- The XR18 can be used for recording, but I use it for live sound. Instead of lugging my road case around full of gear, I can use the compact XR18 and mix everything with the XAir app on my iPad. The XR18 has its own built in WiFi, which makes it so easy to connect.

Not only do you get a full set of 24 presets for your library, but a .PDF that includes the WHY for the settings that I applied to the channel. Often times presets will help you get the sound you are looking for, but you don’t know HOW it helped get the sound. If you don’t understand the how you won’t feel confident to tweak the preset to really sculpt the perfect sound for your mix. This is why I not only include the presets with the download but a 24 page .PDF with SO much information on why I applied the settings that I did. Presets are not an ‘end all fix all’ item, they are merely a very good starting ground for getting that golden mix you want.
